Private guided tours with personal service are SaltyTours main goal aiming for small groups, families and individuals. We offer day tours from Reykjavik or Keflavik airport, we can also customise shorter or longer tours from 2 days to 10 days or more depending on your needs and interests. Travelling in Iceland offers a great variety of landscapes with many options for stops take short or long walking trails to photograph and explore the wonders of Icelandic nature. SaltyTours has been a licensed tour operator since 2007 and has gained vast experience through the years.
Since 2007
SaltyTours was established in August 2007 by Thorsteinn Gunnar Kristjansson or Thor as he is often called by his customers. Thor is a former fisherman and decided to have another career after being seasick for almost 20 years :). He is a father of five, has always lived in Iceland, and worked in many different fields which gives him great insight and experience in guiding visitors travelling around Iceland. Thor graduated from The Icelandic Tourist Guide School in 2013 as a certificated guide.

SaltyTours specializes in private tours for small groups visiting Iceland and staying off the beaten track if customers so wish. Our tours are mostly day tours that begin and end in Reykjavik but we also have tours for passengers arriving at International Airport Keflavik and pick them up there. We provide tours around the Ring road that circumnavigates the whole of Iceland for five to ten days or more if you wish. SaltyTours also have in the wintertime from September to April private Northern Lights tours from Reykjavik or longer tours and stay away from the city lights for three to five days doing day tours during the day and looking for Northern lights at night.
