Wir kümmern uns um Sie, sei es auf einer kurzen Tour aus Reykjavik hinaus oder auf einer längeren Tour, bei der wir 3 bis 5 Tage oder auf Wunsch länger fernab der Stadtlichter auf dem Land bleiben.
Wir können die Unterkunft je nach der jeweils besten Sicht organisieren, anpassen und buchen. Wir können Stative und warme Kleidung mitbringen und helfen Ihnen auch bei den Kameraeinstellungen, damit Ihnen großartige Aufnahmen der Nordlichter gelingen, wenn sie sich zeigen. Nordlichter entstehen vor allem in Höhen von 90 bis 150 km oder 50 bis 100 Meilen, sie können sogar bis zu 1000 km, 650 Meilen, über der Erde auftreten.
Die Nordlichter, auch Aurora borealis genannt, sind in Island im Zeitraum von September bis April zu sehen; nötig sind nur ein dunkler und klarer Himmel und natürlich Aktivität am Himmel, verursacht durch elektrisch geladene Teilchen, die auf das Magnetfeld der Erde treffen.

I toured Iceland twice with Thor ! Every time he was considerate, on time. He is a great driver on snow and ice. We trusted him with our lives! He knows Iceland history and regaled us with stories. My tour of Iceland in March was perhaps the best travel experience I have ever had. Our tour guide, Thor, did his utmost to make sure we had the best experience possible. We were able to see the northern lights on three nights and he took fabulous photos and beforehand told us a little bit about science behind the northern light. The accommodations were wonderful, the food was excellent, and in out-of-the-way places, the tour arranged for private meals where there weren’t restaurants. It was wonderful to go in March to see the northern lights and to avoid the crowds from the cruise ships.
